ADULT PLAYING RULES

This Adult Coed Volleyball League will be governed by Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo (R.I.S.E.). Rule modifications will only be made before the beginning of the session. However, R.I.S.E. reserves the right to change or modify any rule that is deemed non-applicable or does not benefit the league and its players.

Games times are always at the discretion of R.I.S.E.

R.I.S.E. cards must be presented to the scorekeeper before the start of each match. No R.I.S.E. card, NO PLAY!!!

R.I.S.E. will allow youth players to play in this adult league. Said youth player must be able to participate at the adult level.

Winner of coin flip will have choice of serving first or side of court.

A team cannot play with more men than women during league play or the playoffs.

Only legal combinations for six court players are 3 men/3 women, 2 men/4 women, 1 man/5 women.

Teams must alternate men and women players in the lineup.

Women's teams will be allowed to play in the coed division.

Males can only attack from behind the 3m (10 ft) line; and are allowed to block while in rotation on the front row.

Males must set from the front line.

Females must touch the ball once before returning the volley.

Each team will have an unlimited number of substitutions per game. The server can not be substituted at any time.

Rally scoring will be used (point after every side out.

Each match will consist of best two out of three games; first two games to 25 points; last game to 15; win by 2; no cap.  If third game required, coin flip will decide service or receive.

Two (2) timeouts per game.

Net height will be 7.4 feet.

A team beginning a match with a valid number of players, but through injury loses one or more players and does not have substitute players, may continue playing the match with all remaining players as long as one (1) of the players is a female and no more than three (3) players are male.

ROSTERS

Team roster minimum - 6; maximum - 12.

All rosters frozen after third game of the season. No roster additions allowed after this time.

Each player is allowed to play only on one team in each division.

All roster changes must be done on an add/delete form.

UNIFORMS

All roster players' uniforms must be of the same color.

OFFICIATING

R.I.S.E. will supply one Referee for each match.

The Referee will decide to use volunteer line judges before each match.

All calls and rulings made by the referee are Final. No protests allowed.
